Vermont Renewable Gas (VRG), an affiliate of Clean Energy Technologies, has reached a Memorandum of Understanding with the Vermont Agency of Agriculture to protect agricultural soils and set strict biochar safety standards for its 2.2 MW renewable energy project in Lyndon. This agreement, part of the Vermont Public Utility Commission's review, ensures soil preservation, feedstock quality, and environmental safety throughout the project's life. The project aims to convert organic waste into clean energy while safeguarding local agriculture and meeting regulatory expectations. This milestone advances the project's approval process and highlights VRG's commitment to sustainable energy development with strong environmental protections.
