Following the Supreme Court's ruling that tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) were unconstitutional, U.S. Customs and Border Protection has opened a refund process for affected tariffs. UPS and FedEx have started filing refund requests on behalf of customers for shipments where they were the importer of record. However, the refund process will be phased and could take up to three months or more before the money reaches customers. Tariffs under other laws remain in place, so only specific refunds apply.
