Transocean secures $185M in contracts for offshore drilling rigs in Norway and Australia.

Transocean Ltd. announced new contracts worth approximately $185 million for two of its harsh environment semisubmersible drilling rigs. The Transocean Norge received a five-well contract with Harbour Energy in Norway, expected to start in early 2028 and contribute about $149 million to backlog. The Transocean Equinox was awarded a two-well contract with Santos in Australia, starting in mid-2027 and adding around $36 million to backlog. These contracts strengthen Transocean's position in offshore drilling and extend their operational commitments in key regions.
