TransMedics plans strategic investment in PAD Aviation to build organ transplant air logistics in Europe.

TransMedics Group has agreed to invest in Germany-based PAD Aviation to create a dedicated air logistics network for organ transplantation across Europe. This move aims to replicate TransMedics' successful U.S. model, enhancing organ transport and increasing transplant access and volumes in the EU. The investment supports TransMedics' OCS perfusion platform and clinical services, with initial focus on expanding operations in Italy. The deal is expected to close later in 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and other conditions.
