TransMedics plans national transplant network expansion and advances clinical trials for organ preservation.

TransMedics Group CEO Waleed Hassanein outlined plans to expand the National OCS Program (NOP) and integrate transplant logistics with dedicated air and ground transport. The company is advancing clinical trials, including the ENHANCE trial and a De Novo lung initiative, aiming to generate strong evidence for its Organ Care System (OCS). TransMedics is also preparing to launch a major kidney transplant program and expanding internationally, particularly in Europe and the GCC region. Operational improvements like double shifting in its aviation fleet and a new Somerville facility are underway to support growth, with key updates expected by late 2026 or 2027.
