TotalEnergies has begun construction on a 440 MWp solar power plant in Ilagan City, Philippines, with a $300 million investment. The project, owned 65% by TotalEnergies and 35% by Nextnorth, is expected to generate 13.5 TWh over 20 years. More than half of the output is contracted for commercial and industrial use, while the rest will be sold to the grid through the Philippines' Green Energy Auction Program. This is the largest internationally funded solar project in the country, supporting the Philippines' renewable energy goals and contributing to TotalEnergies' broader 9 GW renewable portfolio in Asia.
