TotalEnergies has applied for authorization to build a 1.5 GW offshore wind farm off Normandy, France, marking the country's largest renewable energy project. The €4.5 billion investment aims to generate about 6 TWh annually, enough to power nearly one million homes, and will create jobs during its three-year construction. The project prioritizes local sourcing to boost European supply chains. Additionally, TotalEnergies extended fuel price caps in France amid Middle East tensions, maintaining stable consumer prices at its service stations.
