TotalEnergies has partnered with Nvidia and Dell to develop Pangea 5, a next-generation AI supercomputer located at its Jean Féger Scientific and Technical Center in Pau, France. This system will increase the company's computing power by six times and is expected to be operational in 2027, with an investment exceeding €100 million. The enhanced computing capacity will improve seismic imaging, speed up exploration, and support more efficient, lower-emission hydrocarbon development, while expanding AI-driven research and advanced energy system modeling.
