Tiziana Life Sciences announced that PET scans of the third multiple system atrophy (MSA) patient treated with intranasal foralumab showed significant reductions in brain inflammation, consistent with results from the first two patients. The reductions were observed in key brain areas affected by MSA, such as the basal ganglia and cerebellar white matter, with decreases up to 34% in inflammatory markers. This supports the potential of intranasal foralumab to modulate neuroinflammation in MSA, a rare neurodegenerative disease with no approved treatments. Tiziana plans to continue testing the therapy in more patients to further validate its effectiveness.
