TG Therapeutics has launched a Phase 2 clinical trial to test BRIUMVI (ublituximab-xiiy) in about 60 adults with treatment-resistant schizophrenia. This open-label study aims to assess the drug's safety and effectiveness in reducing symptoms by targeting B-cell depletion, based on emerging evidence linking immune dysfunction to schizophrenia in some patients. Participants will continue their standard antipsychotic treatments while receiving BRIUMVI. The trial's primary goal is to measure symptom improvement after 12 weeks, potentially opening a new treatment avenue for patients who do not respond to current therapies.
