Tether froze more than $514 million worth of USDT on Ethereum and Tron blockchains in the past 30 days, with about $506 million on Tron and $8.7 million on Ethereum. This is part of a growing trend, as Tether blacklisted over 4,100 addresses and froze $1.26 billion in 2025 alone. The company actively removes suspicious funds, permanently destroying over half of frozen USDT from last year. These enforcement actions reflect increased regulatory pressure and Tether's cooperation with authorities to combat illicit activities like sanctions evasion and scams.
