Somon Air, Tajikistan's national airline, has taken delivery of its first Boeing 737 MAX 737-8, marking the first of its kind in the country. This addition is part of the airline's fleet modernization strategy to improve fuel efficiency and expand its network across Central Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. The 737-8 will complement Somon Air's planned 787 Dreamliner fleet, enabling new routes to destinations like London, Beijing, and Guangzhou. The aircraft reduces fuel use and emissions by 20%, supporting the airline's growth and sustainability goals.
