An attacker stole about $24 million USDC from Ostium, a decentralized exchange on Arbitrum, by compromising an oracle signer key, not by exploiting the Arbitrum bridge. The attacker manipulated future-dated price reports to generate fake profits, which were withdrawn from Ostium's liquidity vault. Although the Arbitrum bridge processed the withdrawals legitimately, the incident highlights risks in oracle-dependent DeFi protocols.
