Rigetti, HPE, and PSC to build hybrid quantum-classical supercomputer with NSF $5M grant

Rigetti Computing is partnering with HPE and the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center to develop TangleLab, a hybrid quantum-classical supercomputer testbed funded by a $5 million National Science Foundation grant. The system will integrate Rigetti's 9-qubit Novera quantum processor with classical high-performance computing, aiming to advance research in quantum computing and AI. Construction starts September 2026 with full operations expected in 2027, providing researchers and educators access to cutting-edge hybrid computing technology.
