The Competition Appeal Tribunal ruled that PayPoint was liable for a past competition law infringement related to energy OTC prepayment service contracts, which ended in 2018. PayPoint must pay £169,334 plus interest to Global 365 Limited for the loss of chance to win contracts with small energy suppliers. However, the tribunal confirmed PayPoint's contracts were not a major factor in Global 365's failure to secure contracts. PayPoint defeated over 99.85% of Global 365's original £172.2 million claim and remains committed to regulatory compliance.
