PureCycle Technologies announced that its PureFive® resin is officially recognized by New Jersey's Department of Environmental Protection as qualifying post-consumer recycled (PCR) content for food-contact packaging. This approval supports compliance with New Jersey's 2027 mandate requiring at least 20% recycled content in such packaging, a threshold that will increase over time. The resin, produced via PureCycle's patented recycling process, removes impurities to create high-quality recycled polypropylene suitable for food safety and performance standards.
