Plume launches world’s first regulated onchain vault with Bermuda licence

Plume, through its subsidiary Kimber Digital Assets Bermuda ISAC Ltd., has become the first company globally to operate a regulated onchain vault manager after securing a Class M Digital Asset Business Licence from the Bermuda Monetary Authority. This licence allows Plume to tokenize institutional-grade assets like private credit, real estate, and commodities within a compliance framework similar to Bermuda’s stablecoin regulations, ensuring AML and KYC protocols are integrated from the start. The licence places Plume alongside major firms like Circle and Coinbase, subjecting it to strict regulatory standards including asset-liability management and cybersecurity. Plume’s Ethereum-compatible blockchain infrastructure supports over 200 projects and has distributed over $350 million in asset value, aiming to provide institutional investors with transparent, regulated access to real-world asset tokenization while addressing liquidity and smart contract risks.
