Plug Power secured a 50MW electrolyzer order for the Hunter Valley Hydrogen Hub in Australia, the country's largest renewable hydrogen project to reach final investment decision (FID). Developed by Orica, the project will produce about 4,700 tonnes of renewable hydrogen annually to replace natural gas in ammonia production, reducing carbon emissions. This milestone supports Orica's decarbonization goals and highlights Plug Power's growing presence in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. The project is expected to significantly cut Orica's natural gas use and contribute to cleaner industrial processes in mining and agriculture.
