Yum China's Pizza Hut Burger Bar has opened its 300th location in China, rapidly expanding since late 2025 with over one new store daily. The Burger Bar offers unique pizza dough buns and a focused burger menu, appealing especially to young and solo diners. This concept has driven double-digit sales growth and profits for parent Pizza Hut stores. Yum China aims to reach 500-600 Burger Bars by the end of 2026, targeting around 10% of its nearly 5,000 Pizza Hut stores, with burger sales expected to exceed RMB 1 billion this year. Additionally, Yum China plans to accelerate new Pizza Hut openings in 2027 and 2028, aiming for over 800 net new stores annually, up from 600 previously.
