Anthropic's AI firm plans up to 80x growth, partners with SpaceX for massive computing power boost

Anthropic, an AI startup known for its Claude chatbot and coding tool, expects its growth to be up to 80 times this year, far exceeding its initial 10 times projection. To support this surge, the company secured a deal with SpaceX to use the Colossus 1 data center's computing power, gaining access to over 220,000 Nvidia AI chips. This partnership may also lead to AI data centers in space. With backing from Google and Amazon, Anthropic is rapidly expanding its AI capabilities and user offerings, including increased usage limits for its coding tool subscribers.
