This alert followed a coordinated sweep of 594.48 BTC across 500 transactions, though no direct link between the firmware issue and the BTC movement has been confirmed. Coinkite recommends users generate new seeds on unaffected devices and carefully migrate funds, while investigations into the root cause continue. The company also noted that newer Coldcard models are not affected and advised using strong passphrases or dice-generated seeds as temporary safeguards.
