Gallup research shows American workers who rarely or never use AI are more likely to be laid off than those who use AI regularly. About 62% of laid-off workers were AI non-users, compared to 50% of currently employed workers. The trend is especially strong among tech workers, where infrequent AI users are three times more likely to be laid off than frequent users. Although few workers cite AI as the direct cause of layoffs, it may influence company restructuring and workforce decisions.
