Student teams from Athens, Greece and Hong Kong won the Otis Made to Move Communities global challenge by developing AI-based solutions to aid city officials, first responders, and residents during natural disasters. The Greek team created an AI-enabled container to monitor rainfall and flood risks, while the Hong Kong team designed an AI and augmented reality system to assist first responders in low-visibility conditions. Each school received $35,000 in grants to support STEM education, highlighting the program's goal to foster innovation and prepare future talent for real-world challenges. Otis continues to mentor students globally to develop technology-driven community solutions.
