Nuwellis expands use of Aquadex SmartFlow® devices in South Carolina pediatric hospitals

Nuwellis, Inc. has expanded its collaboration with a major South Carolina healthcare system to install new Aquadex SmartFlow® devices at one of its children’s hospitals and upgrade existing devices at two other locations. These devices help manage fluid overload in pediatric patients by providing precise ultrafiltration therapy, potentially reducing rehospitalizations linked to heart failure. Nuwellis is also seeking FDA approval to extend the device's use to smaller pediatric patients weighing 5 kg and above, with a submission expected by the end of 2026. This expansion highlights Nuwellis’ growing leadership in pediatric cardiorenal care technology.
