Novo Resources Corp has regained full control of the Egina Gold Project in Western Australia's Pilbara region after Northern Star Resources withdrew from their earn-in agreement. Northern Star decided not to proceed with the additional A$18 million expenditure required to earn a 50% interest, so the joint venture will not form and exploration rights revert to Novo. Novo now holds 100% control of the strategically located project near Northern Star's Hemi gold project, which contains over 13.6 million ounces of gold. Novo plans to restart exploration in the second half of 2026, using data from Northern Star's previous work to reassess and prioritize the project’s prospects.
