Neurocrine Biosciences announced that two-year data from their Phase 3 CAHtalyst Adult study shows CRENESSITY (crinecerfont) improves cardiometabolic outcomes like insulin resistance, body weight, and bone health in adults with classic congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH). The treatment also sustained reductions in glucocorticoid doses, which are linked to adverse effects. About 37% of overweight participants lost more than 5% of their body weight, and 43% of those with insulin resistance at baseline no longer had it after two years. Patient surveys reported better quality of life and treatment satisfaction. These results highlight CRENESSITY's potential to improve long-term disease management and patient health in CAH.
