CRENESSITY shows strong hormone control and glucocorticoid dose reduction in rare adrenal disorder patients

Neurocrine Biosciences reported that CRENESSITY (crinecerfont) significantly improved hormone levels and reduced glucocorticoid doses in patients with classic congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) due to 11β-hydroxylase deficiency, a rare form of CAH. In a retrospective case series of 15 pediatric and adult patients, CRENESSITY led to over 90% median reductions in key adrenal steroid precursors and improved blood pressure in adults. Most patients also reduced or stopped antihypertensive drugs and lowered glucocorticoid doses, highlighting CRENESSITY's potential to better manage this challenging condition. These findings, presented at ENDO 2026, support further research and use of CRENESSITY for this rare CAH subtype.
