Marks and Spencer (M&S) has acquired a £67.5 million automated distribution center from ASOS to accelerate its online clothing business expansion. The 437,000 sq ft warehouse in Staffordshire, previously unused by ASOS due to reduced demand, provides M&S with additional logistics capacity at a reasonable cost. This move supports M&S's plan to double UK non-food digital sales and improve product availability and customer service. Integration is expected by 2027, creating around 600 jobs, and will be funded from M&S's strong cash reserves.
