Microchip Technology has released the VectorBlox 3.0 Accelerator SDK, a free tool designed to simplify and speed up AI implementation on PolarFire FPGAs and SoCs. The SDK supports sparse neural networks, improving performance and reducing power consumption by skipping zero-valued operations, which is crucial for power-constrained edge AI in aerospace and defense. This update leverages technology from Microchip's Neuronix acquisition to enable efficient AI workloads on a single low-power FPGA, enhancing real-time vision and sensor applications. The SDK integrates with Microchip's Libero SoC Design Suite and is available immediately to developers at no cost.
