Maximo, a solar robotics company incubated by AES Corporation, successfully installed 100 megawatts of utility-scale solar capacity at AES' Bellefield complex, marking one of the largest robotic solar deployments to date. This milestone demonstrates that robotic installation can significantly increase productivity, safety, and quality in solar construction, addressing labor shortages and compressed timelines. The project used a fleet of four robots working alongside skilled technicians, nearly doubling installation output compared to traditional methods. Supported by AI and cloud technologies from NVIDIA and AWS, Maximo is advancing toward even larger scale deployments to meet growing electricity demand with faster, more reliable solar installations.
