Max Resource Corp. has reported significant expansion of high-grade Manto-style copper and silver mineralization over an 8 km² area within its Sierra Azul project in northeastern Colombia. Channel sampling revealed copper grades up to 1.6% and silver up to 10 g/t over intervals ranging from 16 to 59 meters, indicating a large-scale mineralized system similar to Chile's El Soldado mine. The discovery highlights Sierra Azul's potential as one of the world's largest underexplored copper systems, with ongoing exploration efforts focused on expanding the footprint and defining drill targets. Max is supported by Freeport-McMoRan, which is funding $50 million in exploration expenditures.
