Over $7.2 billion in digital assets have migrated from LayerZero to Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) since May, with Mantle being the latest blockchain to adopt Chainlink's infrastructure. Mantle is moving its Super Portal from LayerZero's Omnichain Fungible Token standard to Chainlink's Cross-Chain Token standard, enhancing security and control amid rising concerns over cross-chain bridge vulnerabilities. This migration trend accelerated after a $292 million bridge exploit, prompting projects like Kelp and others to shift assets to Chainlink CCIP. Mantle's Super Portal will pause temporarily during the migration, but existing token operations will continue as Chainlink's decentralized oracle network secures future transfers.
