Lion One Metals has reappointed Eric Setchell as Director of Operations to lead the Tuvatu Gold Mine in Fiji, following a significant drop in production under new management. Setchell, with over 40 years of gold mining experience, previously led the mine to record quarterly gold production in late 2025. Under his leadership, the mine achieved consecutive quarters of over 4,000 oz of gold with high grades and recoveries. The company expects production, grades, and recoveries to improve again with Setchell's return, reversing the declines seen after Arete Capital took control in January 2026.
