Ecopetrol's President takes 30-day unpaid leave; Acting President appointed.

Ecopetrol's Board approved a 30-day unpaid leave starting May 28, 2026, for President Ricardo Roa Barragán, who will use accrued vacation from April 7 to May 27. Juan Carlos Hurtado Parra, Executive VP of Hydrocarbons, was named Acting President. Ecopetrol, Colombia's largest energy company, continues operations under its corporate strategy amid this leadership change. Hurtado brings 28 years of energy sector experience and has held key roles within Ecopetrol and related companies.
