Illumina and the Center for Data-Driven Discovery in Biomedicine (D3b) have partnered to analyze 100,000 whole genomes from pediatric patients to accelerate research in pediatric cancer and rare diseases. Using cloud-based platforms and advanced software like DRAGEN v4.4, this initiative creates one of the largest unified genomic datasets, enabling real-time analysis and improving clinical care. The partnership supports data sharing across over 200 pediatric institutions in the U.S., aiming to shorten diagnosis and treatment times and enhance precision medicine for children. This effort represents a significant step toward faster scientific discoveries and better personalized care for pediatric patients.
