IDEAYA Biosciences has begun enrolling patients in a Phase 1 trial testing IDE892, a PRMT5 inhibitor, combined with IDE397, a MAT2A inhibitor, targeting MTAP-deleted pancreatic and non-small cell lung cancers. Preclinical studies showed strong anti-tumor effects with this combo at well-tolerated doses. MTAP deletion occurs in up to 40% of pancreatic and 15-20% of lung cancers, with no current approved treatments, highlighting the unmet need. IDEAYA is also collaborating with Roche to test IDE892 with a pan-RAS inhibitor and advancing a third program targeting CDKN2A for MTAP-deleted tumors, aiming for an IND filing in early 2027.
