IAC announced it will change its name to People Incorporated by August 2026 to reflect its sharpened focus on its People Inc. publishing business and its growing stake in MGM Resorts International. The company has evolved over 30 years from a conglomerate owning over 200 companies to concentrating on digital publishing and MGM Resorts, where it now holds 26%. This strategic shift aims to reduce overhead and leverage digital growth in publishing alongside the stable physical assets of MGM. Chairman Barry Diller emphasized the company's agility and opportunistic approach as it transitions to this new phase.
