Hut 8 invests $16M to expand water system for River Bend AI data center in Louisiana.

Hut 8 Corp. is investing approximately $16 million to enhance the water system capacity in West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana, supporting its River Bend AI data center campus development. The project includes building a new water well and about eight miles of water main, expected to be completed by late 2026 and transferred to the parish at no cost. This upgrade will improve water reliability for over 4,000 households and 200 businesses, aligning with Louisiana's broader water infrastructure initiatives. The River Bend campus, a major private infrastructure project, will also create around 268 jobs, using a water-efficient closed loop cooling system to minimize local water supply impact.
