HIVE Digital Technologies is expanding its Bitcoin mining operations in Paraguay, leveraging the country's abundant hydroelectric power from the Itaipú Dam. The company operates two major hydro-powered facilities totaling 300 MW capacity and aims to reach a global hashrate of 25 EH/s by 2025 and 35 EH/s by 2026. This growth strategy focuses on sustainable, cost-effective mining amid a challenging post-halving market environment. Additionally, HIVE is developing its BUZZ platform to support AI and high-performance computing, diversifying its infrastructure use beyond Bitcoin mining.
