HII, in partnership with MetalCraft Marine, has delivered two ROMULUS-25 autonomous unmanned surface vessels (USVs) to the U.S. Marine Corps under a Defense Innovation Unit contract. These 27-foot high-speed interceptor vessels, powered by HII's Odyssey AI autonomy system, can carry up to 1,000 pounds of payload and operate autonomously over 1,000 nautical miles. The delivery and successful sea testing demonstrate HII's advanced autonomous technology capabilities, which enhance naval mission effectiveness and support hybrid manned-unmanned fleet operations. This marks a significant step in advancing next-generation autonomous maritime systems for U.S. and allied naval forces.
