HII partner Bayou Metals launches new line to speed up ROMULUS USV production

HII's partner Bayou Metals has opened a dedicated manufacturing line in Louisiana to accelerate production of ROMULUS unmanned surface vessels (USVs). This new line handles precision cutting, bending, welding, and assembly of key components, streamlining the build process before final integration by Breaux Brothers Enterprises. The move supports faster, scalable production of ROMULUS USVs, which are modular AI-enabled vessels designed for various military missions. This expansion also boosts U.S. shipbuilding capacity and workforce growth on the Gulf Coast.
