HeLIX Exploration PLC has agreed to acquire Treasure State Drilling LLC for $600,000 in an all-share deal, giving it direct ownership of the drilling rig used at its Rudyard helium project in Montana. This acquisition eliminates contract day rates and mobilisation costs for future drilling, potentially lowering operational expenses. The rig, already on site, has drilled all four existing production wells and is suitable for the target formations. Helix may also rent out the rig to other operators when not in use, though no third-party contracts have been made yet.
