Air France-KLM reported a second-quarter adjusted operating profit of €484 million, down €251 million year-on-year due to a sharp rise in fuel prices driven by geopolitical tensions. The company managed to recapture about 85% of the fuel cost increase through higher ticket prices and surcharges. Looking ahead, Air France-KLM expects 2026 capacity to grow 2-3%, with stable unit costs and a fuel bill forecast of $8.9 billion, reflecting ongoing volatility but a resilient business model.
