Sanofi announced positive phase 3 trial results for amlitelimab, a monoclonal antibody targeting OX40L, in treating moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis. Across three studies (COAST 1, COAST 2, and SHORE), amlitelimab demonstrated increasing efficacy up to 24 weeks, with significant improvements in skin clearance and disease severity compared to placebo. The drug was well-tolerated and showed potential for convenient dosing every 12 weeks from treatment start. Sanofi plans to present longer-term safety data from the ESTUARY study in the second half of 2026, supporting amlitelimab as a promising new treatment option for atopic dermatitis patients.
