
Halliburton has acquired Sekal, a digital drilling automation company, to enhance its automation capabilities by integrating Sekal's DrillTronics technology with Halliburton's LOGIX platform. This integration aims to optimize well placement, hydraulics, and rig operations in real time, potentially reducing well delivery times by up to 25%. The acquisition supports Halliburton's strategy to advance digital well construction and improve operational efficiency. Financial terms were not disclosed, and the deal strengthens Halliburton's position in the energy sector alongside its partner Sumitomo Corporation.
