A class action lawsuit has been filed against AMC Entertainment and some officers, alleging they misled investors about the rights of AMC Preferred Equity Units (APEs) holders. The suit claims AMC used a technical loophole to exclude APE holders from receiving a special dividend after APEs converted to common stock, which was not clearly disclosed to investors. Investors who bought APEs between August 18, 2022, and November 1, 2023, are encouraged to join the case. The deadline to request lead plaintiff status is April 20, 2026, with no upfront cost for investors to participate in the lawsuit.
