Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico (GAP) reported a 7.6% decrease in total passenger traffic across its 12 airports in April 2026 compared to April 2025. The decline was driven by significant drops at Puerto Vallarta, Montego Bay, and Tijuana airports, partly due to Hurricane Melissa's impact in Jamaica. Despite this, Guadalajara airport saw a slight increase of 0.9%. Available seats decreased by 8.3%, but load factors improved slightly to 81.5%. This traffic drop highlights ongoing challenges for GAP's operations, particularly in tourist-heavy locations, with potential implications for revenue and recovery strategies.
