The study involved 32 colorectal cancer patients in Israel and demonstrated that quantitative measurement of colon tissue compliance during surgery is feasible and reliable. This new technology complements Colospan's existing CG-100 device and aims to provide surgeons with real-time, objective data to improve surgical decisions and patient outcomes. Galmed plans to advance this platform through further clinical trials and regulatory approvals, expanding its innovation pipeline in colorectal surgery.
