Galapagos NV is in advanced discussions with Gilead following Gilead's acquisition of Ouro Medicines, focusing on a strategic partnership to develop OM336 (gamgertamig), a first-in-class BCMAxCD3 T-cell engager for autoimmune diseases. OM336 has shown promising clinical efficacy and safety in early trials and holds FDA Fast Track and Orphan Drug status for treating autoimmune hemolytic anemia and immune thrombocytopenia. The collaboration would involve shared development costs and royalties, with Gilead retaining global commercialization rights except in Greater China. Galapagos expects to maintain significant capital flexibility for other strategic initiatives while finalizing the partnership details with Gilead, aiming to accelerate the development and potential market introduction of this innovative therapy by 2027.
