Galapagos NV is in advanced talks with Gilead Sciences to collaborate on developing OM336 (gamgertamig), a promising T cell engager therapy for autoimmune diseases, following Gilead's acquisition of Ouro Medicines. OM336 has shown strong clinical results in early trials for diseases like autoimmune hemolytic anemia and immune thrombocytopenia, with Fast Track and Orphan Drug designations from the FDA. Under the proposed deal, Galapagos would share development costs and receive royalties from Gilead, which retains commercialization rights outside Greater China. This partnership aims to accelerate OM336's progress toward registrational studies expected in 2027, while providing Galapagos financial flexibility for other strategic initiatives.
